Spring has officially sprung. It just quietly crept in last Friday. Now that this beautiful season is here, our neighborhood gardens can bloom with wild abandon. This past weekend I was in Palo Alto to visit daughter Heather and grandchildren Cate and Ryan. On Sunday we visited one of my most favorite places, Filoli Gardens in nearby Woodside. The gardens at Filoli are beautiful in summer too, but springtime is a feast for all the senses. Over 35,000 tulips are in bloom, hundreds of hyacinth, fields of daffodils, wisteria and countless other blooms of about every spring flower that you can think of. If for some reason flowers are not your passion, the 43-room Georgian-style Filoli mansion might be of great interest.
