With Mother’s Day around the corner, La Cañada Presbyterian Church and Icthus International are planning a special luncheon in honor of women. Mothers, grandmothers, daughters, aunts or special friends will all be welcome at the lunch, planned for 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 2 at La Cañada Presbyterian Church, 626 Foothill Blvd. The lunch will feature a presentation by Karlene Cunningham on “Wearable Art: The Costumes and ” Now retired, Cunningham was the former head of the Fashion Program at Pasadena City College.

This year's upcoming Sierra Madre Art Fair will embrace some of its most famous artists from previous years as well as welcome artists new to the fair. Art collectors will be delighted to see past featured artists Regina Giandomenico, Michael Crook, Djibril N'Doye, Hugo Lecaros and Nancy Doyle. The 45th Annual Art Fair will be held Saturday, May 19, 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday, May 20, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the City's tree-lined Memorial Park. The park is located on Sierra Madre Blvd.
