The Lanterman House ballroom was swinging to the sounds of 1930s and '40s music performed by the Sisters of Swing when the Lanterman House Foundation held a fundraising event Sunday evening. Prior to the performance, the 80 attendees enjoyed hors d'oeurves and wine served in the museum's courtyard. "I thought it went swimmingly, to use an old-fashioned term," said Melissa Patton, the museum's executive director. "The music was fabulous and it was the event I had hoped it would be. It was a fun, casual evening of good food, good wine and great swing music."

Others took time to smell the flowers in the rose garden or share a shady bench by the koi pond.
