The event began with a one-hour assembly in the gymnasium as parents were greeted by the Rev. Matt Elshoff and Principal Tom Moran. After a brief state-of-the-school address and information session, parents followed their sons' schedules and attended abbreviated classes where they met teachers and heard overviews of course demands and class expectations.

Like its counterparts La Cañada and Paradise Canyon elementary schools, Palm Crest Elementary will be holding its Open House tonight (Thursday). In addition to strolling through the decorated classrooms parents, students and friends of PCR can make a lasting impression on the school by designing and painting a tile. “This is the first year we have done the tiles,” said Cindy Carter, project chair. “We have been thinking about it as a fundraiser for awhile and this seemed like the time to do it.” The time was right in part to the remodel/construction of the new Multipurpose Room that is scheduled for completion next month.
