Living in the foothills, fire safety is at the forefront of many folks? minds. A few dozen Paradise Valley residents gathered Tuesday night at the Crescenta Valley Sheriff?s Station for an informational meeting with fire department and law enforcement personnel. The meeting of residents and the area?s newly formed Fire Safety Council was aimed at preparing that community, located near the top of Ocean View Boulevard, for possible fire evacuation or other emergency. In the event of an emergency evacuation, residents can expect to have anywhere from five minutes to a couple of days time to flee their homes, said Battalion Chief Michael Singer of the Los Angeles Fire Department Station 82. ?
