A rabbit, two doves, levitations, and card tricks ? what do these three all have in common? They will be performed by award-winning illusionist Allen Roy Oshiro at the La Cañada Flintridge Public Library from 4-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20. Oshiro will perform sleight of hand, ball manipulation, Chinese linking rings and more tricks. Free tickets will be available at the reference desk. Following are services and upcoming activities planned by the staff of the La Cañada Flintridge Public Library, located at 4545 N. Oakwood Ave. Sue Renyer is the library manager. For information, call 790-3330. Programs: Watercolor artist Lana Blades displays paintings in the library's Community Room through Dec. 30. Storytime: The Pajama Storytimes have resumed each Wednesday at 7 p.m. The entire family is invited for stories, songs, crafts and more. Pajamas and teddy bears are welcome.

Following are services and upcoming activities planned by the staff of the La Cañada Flintridge Public Library, located at 4545 N. Oakwood Avenue. Sue Renyer is the library manager. For information, call 790-3330. Programs: La Cañada Flintridge Library will offer a series of free opera talks at 6:30 p.m. beginning in January. On Jan. 9, Arlene Stone will discuss Puccini's "Madama Butterfly" Future talks include a behind the scenes look at the world of opera, which may feature costumes, props or wigs on Feb. 6; a program on the comedy, "Le Nozze di Figaro" on March 6; a discussion of "Grendel" is set April 3; a look at "La Traviata" is planned May 1.
