Just as people were beginning to think the work along Foothill Boulevard was nearly completed, a fly in the ointment means more construction is expected in the coming months. Material used in some of the brick pavers for pedestrian crossings was determined by the manufacturer to be defective and will be replaced between January and February at the cost of the manufacturer, said Public Works Director Edward Hitti during the Monday night City Council meeting. The affected areas are in the crosswalks at Angeles Crest Highway and at Beulah Drive.

Scientists who study brain development in adolescents, say the actual wiring is not completed and locked into place till they are in their early twenties. I believe that. I'd go further ? in guys I am not sure if it EVER really leaves the adolescent phase completely. How else to explain the success of Dumb and Dumber? And Borat? But our son's brain would, I think, give even those doughty researchers pause. On a recent morning I ran out to the garage and as I scurried across the pavers and their grass ribbons, my feet flew out from under me and I landed with a resounding thump.

Seven new Eagle Scouts honored Evan Sebastian Chersi was born on March 26, 1993, in Los Angeles. He attended Palm Crest and Paradise Canyon elementary schools, La Cañada 7/8, and is currently a junior at La Cañada High School. Upon earning the Arrow of Light Award and the Twentier Award from Cub Scout Pack 519, as well as the Parvuli Dei religious medal, Evan joined Boy Scout Troop 507 in 2004. He held a number of leadership positions in the troop. He was recognized with the Troop 507 Patrol Leader of the Term Award.
