The dates for La Cañada High School Playhouse production of ?You Can?t Take It With You? have been changed to Feb. 22-24. The original dates of Feb. 8-10 had to be changed due to the California High School Exit Exam being held in the auditorium this week. The comedy was written in 1936 by George Kaufman and Moss Hart. It was adapted for the screen in 1938 by Frank Capra and won an Academy Award for Best Picture. The story revolves around the Sycamores, an eccentric family with a free-spirited look on life.

The drama department at La Cañada High School is set to put on "You Can't Take It With You" this weekend. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play by George Kaufman and Moss Hart centers around a kooky family.  The play opens Sunday, Nov. 4 and runs through Nov. 6. The theater is on 4463 Oak Grove Drive. Tickets are $10. All shows start at 7 p.m.

La Cañada High School Playhouse will present “You Can’t Take It With You” Feb. 22-23 at the Oak Grove Drive campus. The play may have been written over 70 years ago but the story of those who are privileged taking advantage of those who are not can easily be related to today’s society. George Kaufman and Moss Hart, the play’s authors, worked together a relatively brief time, from 1930-1940. They had a string of Broadway hits, including “The American Way,” “George Washington Slept Here” and “The Man Who Came to Dinner.

CLASSES International Dance Lessons — Feb. 7 from 7 - 10 p.m. The La Crescenta Woman’s Club - Evening Section is holding an evening of international dance lessons taught by Simon Oksazian.
