LCHS grad in all-star game Chris Tosello, a member of the 2008 graduate class of La Cañada High, has been selected to represent La Cañada High School, his team, family and community in the 2008 Hall of Fame All Star Football game. The game will be held on Friday June 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Bassett High School located at 755 Ardilla, La Puente. The West coaching staff is from South El Monte High School lead by Head Football Coach, Erick A. Escamilla. Chris has been playing football since freshman year and was awarded the MVP for the 2007-08 variety season.

La Cañada golfer Anton Arboleda competed in the U.S. Junior Amateur Qualifier this past weekend at Sunnyside Country Club in Fresno. His first tournament play in more than two months, Arboleda missed the qualifying mark by only three strokes. "I knew I would have to play well," Arboleda said. "But I was rusty." Though the mark was disappointing, Arboleda has more to look forward to during a busy summer of golf. "I'm leaving for a Michigan AJGA tournmant on Saturday," he said.
