Na, na, na, na, naaaaaa – I told you! June gloom was here early. Or at least for a couple of days it was. Mother Nature just likes to teach us flexibility. In essence, be prepared. Speaking of being flexible, tomorrow (May 1) is my birthday and it’s a “biggie.” Flexible is a good thing to be when you are on the downslope. I’m working on being better at it. Hard to believe but the La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Assn. held its 27th annual Bingo Barbecue fund-raiser.

This annual event, organized by a committee of the organization's past presidents, attracted approximately 100 supporters who sipped champagne and wine as they sampled hors d'oeuvres and exchanged holiday greetings with their fellow enthusiasts.

Yes, I do have at least five resolutions on my list. I hope to check them all off by Dec. 31, 2012. And, just before “Dino-Soar” rolled down the boulevard, the La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Assn.
