The La Cañada Flintridge Orthopaedic Guild their annual Membership Tea this month at the home of Dee Draper, membership chairman. Eight potential members attended the tea, and all would be welcome additions to the organization. Elegant and delicious tea recipes were prepared and served. As everyone enjoyed the tea and cakes, Orthopaedic Hospital representatives Barbara Murray, volunteer services director, and Nancy Rodney, thrift shop manager, gave a history of the hospital. They talked about its commitment to care of children with crippling defects and muscular skeletal diseases, regardless of the families' ability to pay. The hospital is internationally recognized as an innovative leader in medical research, education, and in patient care for children and adults.
