A Noise Within, Southern California's award-winning classical theatre company, continues its 15th anniversary season with the soaring musical, "Man Of La Mancha," written by Dale Wasserman, music by Mitch Leigh and lyrics by Joe Darion. The production opens on Saturday March 10 at 8 p.m. and runs through May 27. Directed by Julia Rodriguez-Elliott, "Man of La Mancha" tells the story of the epic novel Don Quixote as a play within a play, performed by Miguel de Cervantes and his fellow prisoners as they await trial by the Spanish Inquisition.

EVENTS — Sunday, May 6, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m . Celebrating its 100th anniversary, the academy's event will include carnival games, fun rides, great food, and silent auctions. Admission is free but parking is $10 per vehicle at the school. Free parking can be found at the designated lot at the Glendale Adventist Medical Center. Glendale Adventist Academy is located at 700 Kimlin Drive, Glendale. For more information, call 652-5367. Glendale Adventist Academy May Festival EXHIBITS — Exhibited through May 27 . Art and fashion from the California Historical Society at the Autry National Center.

Glendale Centre Theatre presents its 2004-2005 season: "Come Blow Your Horn" Runs: Dec. 29 to Feb. 12  Being bachelor brothers sharing an apartment in the Big Apple provides a bevy of laughs as girlfriends come with dinners and designs to change the bachelor status. How the older brother keeps his kid brother and himself single at the onslaught of those women provides the evening's fun. _____________ "Man of La Mancha" Runs: Feb. 16 to April 9   Undoubtedly one of the most beloved musicals of all time, Glendale Centre Theatre presents this spectacular show about a simple man with an impossible Dream.

A Noise Within's blog states "Late summer at A Noise Within means excited preparation for the coming season. There's a great buzz around the building lately, as each department makes plans for autumn. "Education folks are auditioning interns for A Noise Within's Professional Internship Program. We've had a dozen or so fresh and nervous artists come through the office doors and await their turn to read a Shakespeare monologue. Most come out with a spring in their steps and make chatty, prolonged exits back out into the summer sunshine.

Zach Wetzel , a member of the 2008 graduating class at La Cañada High School, was the recipient of the $1,000 Paul Mayo Memorial Scholarship . This scholarship is in memory of Paul Mayo, an icon of choral music in Southern California. Criteria for the award included being a graduating senior from La Cañada High School, participation in the high school choral music program, plans to major or minor in choral music or vocal performance at a four year college or university and financial need.
