During this holiday season, Las Madrinas honored several Southern California families and their daughters for their service to the community and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles at the annual Las Madrinas Ball on Dec. 21, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. More than 800 guests gathered to celebrate with the members of Las Madrinas. A total of 42 young women were presented during the ball. Roxanne Cook bows at Las Madrinas ball During the holiday season, Las Madrinas honored 32 Southern California families and their daughters for their service to the Southern California community and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles at the annual Las Madrinas Ball at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. Roxanne Cook , daughter of Bonnie and Dick Cook of La Cañada Flintridge, was among the young women presented. More than 800 guests from the greater Los Angeles area, including the debutantes, their families and friends, gathered to celebrate with the members of Las Madrinas.

In the midst of springtime celebrations and June graduations, Las Madrinas Las Madrinas announced the 32 families and their daughters who will be honored for their service to the Southern California community and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles at the Las Madrinas Ball on Dec. 21. Among the debutantes is Roxanne Debra Cook , daughter of longtime La Cañada Flintridge residents Bonnie and Dick Cook. Her sister, Elizabeth, was also a Las Madrinas debutante. On May 14 the debutante families gathered at the Saban Research Institute of Childrens Hospital Los Angeles to meet with and hear a presentation by Dr. Michele Kipke, director of the Las Madrinas Endowment for Autism Research, Interventions and Outcomes.
