Kenny Lund marks 20 years at firm A 20-year lapel pin was presented to Kenny Lund , vice president, support operations for the Allen Lund Company , on the occasion of his 20th anniversary with the trucking firm headquartered on Angeles Crest Highway. Ed Lund, vice president, sales and branch operations, presented Kenny Lund with a 20-year lapel pin. “It is an honor for me to work for this company,” said Kenny Lund, addressing employees and family. “A lot of things have changed in 20 years, but the professionalism of the employees is always a consistent.

The Don José Verdugo Chapter, Daughters of the America Revolution, NSDAR, honored local high school students with the organization's Good Citizens Award during a recent luncheon event held in Pasadena. The young women were selected for their outstanding qualities of service, leadership, dependability and patriotism. Barbara Rogers, who chaired the awards program, introduced the students and presented them with a certificate of award; Good Citizen lapel pin; copy of the U.S. Constitution; DAR material and a monetary award.

Letters to the Editor Wants Dreier reelected I am once again supporting Congressman Dreier this year because he continues to stand up for what’s right — our troops, lower taxes, and less government spending. He is a true conservative who is always loyal to his principles. For example, he recently voted against the bloated farm bill that simply continues federal subsidies rather than reforming them. He also stood strong against a Democrat plan to raise taxes on small businesses.
