Dining with Duvall by Lynn Duvall Avery Econome's office claims space inside a trailer located in a southwest section of Descanso Garden - an area off-limits to visitors. From this outpost, Avery performs myriad duties as the gardens' manager of public relations. The staff and many volunteers appreciate her work. If you mention Avery's name, you'll hear, "Oh yes, I know her" along with a string of complimentary phrases. I, too, would say, "Isn't she nice? She's so good at what she does."
