La Cañada High School students were among those who visited the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station Monday to claim stolen sports items that had been recovered from a La Cañada couple’s apartment and storage unit. All-in-all, stolen property valued at more than $40,000 that had been taken from six schools throughout the foothills was recovered, along with methamphetamine in an amount that would indicate a sales operation was taking place. Martha McRae, 44, and Mark Wallace, 40, both La Cañada Flintridge residents, were arrested Friday morning after CV detectives served a search warrant at their apartment in the 2100 block of La Cañada Crest Drive and a second warrant at their storage unit in Montrose.
