More than 770 students enrolled in classes this summer at La Cañada Elementary for grades 1-6 and at La Cañada High School for grades 7 and 8 for summer school classes sponsored by the Assistance League of Flintridge. The five-week program was under the direction of ALF members Polly Allen and Sue Sheedy. Most of the classes are non-academic and are designed to provide creative challenges.

The littlest cousin of the family is 18-month-old Finn Fagan, who got plenty of adult help filling up his first Easter basket. It wasn’t until 10 p.m. Sunday that we heard that the Southland had gone through some rocking and rolling at 3:40 in the afternoon.
