On Dec. 8, Southern California Muslims celebrated the end of the yearly Hajj pilgrimage season to Mecca. Communal morning prayers and celebrations were held at mosques across the nation and around the globe. “Hajj reminds Muslims to transcend themselves from their comfort zones and struggle together for the common good of humanity, following the life and legacy of Prophet Abraham and his family,” said Dr. Muzammil Siddiqi, chairman of the Islamic Shura Council of Southern California.
