Crescenta Valley Sheriff's deputies made a routine traffic stop Monday that netted two suspects, five guns and several rounds of ammunition. At the intersection of Angeles Crest Highway and Angeles Forest Highway deputies pulled over a 1992 Chevy Blazer that did not have a front license plate. They found the driver, David Aaron Jund, 47, of Little Rock, Calif. was driving on a suspended license and on parole for a weapons' violation. After a search of the vehicle, deputies found a backpack with ammunition magazines, two loaded guns, a pair of black leather gloves and a pair of latex gloves.

Designer Wakkie Woo has unveiled his new power line concept for the transmission lines that dissect La Cañada. After several intense months of experimentation, meditation and some other big words ending in ion, the new tower design was unveiled just east of Descanso Drive and Verdugo Boulevard. The unique design is a combination of camouflage and utility. Woo wowed a small but willing audience as he explained that the towers needed to blend into the surrounding foliage better.
