The magical era of afternoon tea dances will be recreated on Sun., July 30, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Tea with Teddy, an authentic tea dance in the exquisite gardens of the Fenyes Estate at the Pasadena Museum of History, corner of Walnut and Orange Grove. Participants are invited to imagine themselves guests of Dr. and Mrs. Adalbert Fenyes at a festive event welcoming President Theodore Roosevelt to Pasadena. Live music by Ian and Regina Whitcomb and the Bungalow Boys will be preceded by Regina's dance workshop to help guests wishing to polish up their two-step.

ACTIVITIES House tour ? The Gamble House in Pasadena is launching a new tour format, ?Brown Bag Tuesdays? from spring through fall. Visitors can take their own lunch, enjoy it on the lawn or terrace of the house, and take a 20-minute, docent-led tour of the first floor of the house. Admission $5. Realtors, ASID partner on Golden Key Awards In conjunction with Pasadena area Realtors, the ASID Pasadena chapter is in the beginning stages of creating a Golden Key award for homes that are exceptionally designed by the incredible, outstanding, elite, Pasadena designers. Lee Mink-Barr , current ASID president and owner of Lee Mink & Associates, came up with the idea for the program. Edna Ulasewicz , ASID CID owner of Classic Designs, Inc., is the current program chairwoman.

Ashi Punj and Maxwell Williams, both La Cañada High School students, have earned the rank of Eagle Scout. Punj, a junior at LCHS, recently completed an Eagle project on the high school campus. He led a team of about 25 other scouts and family members to restore a bungalow on the football field. The project took two days. Ashi started scouting with JPL Troop 509 in 2010. He has served various positions in the troop, including Patrol Guide and Senior Patrol Leader. He aspires to become a doctor and spent the last two summers at USC studying stem-cell research.
