Meghan Elizabeth Breeden wed Eric Ryan Ulfeldt in a June ceremony at St. Bede the Venerable Catholic Church in La Cañada Flintridge, followed by a reception in the Red Roses and Candlelight area of Oakmont Country Club. The bride is the daughter of Fergus and Ellen Foley and Bruce and Phyllis Breeden. The groom’s parents are John and Marianne Ulfeldt of La Cañada Flintridge. Performing the marriage ceremony was the Rev. Msgr. Jim Gehl. Meghan was attended by bridesmaids Angela Choate, Soraya Manesh, Vanessa Tooch, Monica Ulfeldt and Katie Welsh; and by junior bridesmaids Ashley Breeden and Katie Williams.

Songs of Summer, a concert of operatic solos, duets and art songs, will be presented Sunday, June 17, at 4 p.m. in the Lanterman House Ballroom, 4420 Encinas Dr., in La Cañada. Featuring mezzo-soprano Nandani Sinha and soprano Michelle McWilliams, who will be accompanied by pianist Brian Williams, the program will open with Samuel Barber's "Knoxville: Summer of 1915" and include Sr. Edward Elgar's, "Sea Pictures." "Knoxville" was commissioned by soprano Eleanor Steber and was inspired by a collection of James Agee's prose and poetry.

BRONCO Mets 6, Angels 3 The Mets improved to 4-1 with a 6-3 victory over a talented Angels team. Jacob Yonan picked up his fourth win, striking out seven and giving up only three hits. Clay Smith and Sean Bird closed out the game, with Smith getting the hold and Bird notching his third save. He also had a RBI single. Smith walked three times and scored; Yonan singled in a run, walked and scored; Zach Johnson singled twice and had an RBI; Matt Lunde knocked in a run; Henry Rowe singled and scored; Brian Williams got on base twice; and Justin Hamm walked and scored.

BABE RUTH DIVISION Cardinals 7, Yankees 4 The Cardinals and Yankees faced off on in a crucial midseason game on Wednesday night. Yankee starter Mitch Russell proved to be the toughest pitcher the Cards had seen all season, throwing with great control and a good curveball. His team led 3-2 after four innings ? when the Card's bats woke up as they scored five runs in the fifth and sixth innings, coming away with a 7-4 win. The Cards record now stands at 3-1-3, outscoring their opponents in the season 61-53.

BABE RUTH DIVISION Cardinals 11, A's 0 The Cardinals faced a determined A's team Thursday night at the varsity field. At the end of the first inning, the A's led 3-1. The second inning lasted an hour and ended up deciding the outcome as both teams combined for 15 runs. For the Cards, all 11 players scored once, and the pitching combo of Nick Jo, Jack Paton and Scott Gray held on for the win 11-9. Christian Zwicky, Charles Kim, Joseph Kim, Brian Blumenfeld and Steve Roux all walked and scored.
