Diners will have to wait another month to sample the tantalizing tastes of Sakura steak, seafood and sushi house. The 7,800-square-foot Town Center restaurant is now planned to open in mid-April. The paperwork is finalized and it’s official: Sakura steak, seafood and sushi house will open its 20th restaurant here at the La Cañada Town Center, in the octagonal structure anchoring the corner of Angeles Crest Highway and Foothill Boulevard. The restaurant is expected to open in January, officials said. Having a Sakura restaurant here is a “great compliment to La Cañada,” said Town Center developer Darren Mattix. Mattix flew out to the East Coast a few months ago to check out Sakura, and came home suitably impressed.
