Conference Championship Game Report Sunday, Nov. 23 Baldwin Park High School La Cañada Gladiators 28 Pasadena Panthers 0 On Sunday morning before a packed house at Baldwin Park High School, the La Cañada Gladiators Jr. Pee Wee team faced the undefeated and No. 1-seed Pasadena Panthers in the San Gabriel Valley Jr. All American Championship football game. The Gladiators played almost error-free football, dominated the line of scrimmage, and came away with a convincing 28-0 victory.

In football the term scrimmage means practice play between teams. For 18 La Cañada High School students, scrimmage means competition, however they will not be competing on a football field but on an academic one. LCHS will host the LA County Academic Decathlong Scrimmage this Saturday, Nov. 18. LCHS students will participate in the practice competition, and will host teams from Gladstone High School in Azusa, Knight High School in Palmdale, Lynwood...

Pee Wee (semifinal playoffs) La Canada Gladiators 14, Pico Rivera Dons 13 Vince Lombardi once said that football is a game of inches. At the Quarter Finals Sunday afternoon at Baldwin Park High School, however, it was a game of feet, and the feet belonged to kicker Gladiator kicker Nick McConnell whose two-point conversion in the third quarter was the difference in La Canada Gladiators 14-13 triumph over the tough Pico Rivera Dons. The Gladiators (9-0) now face the Walnut-Diamond Bar Cowboys (9-0)

Pee Wee (playoffs) La Cañada Gladiators 30, Charter Oak Chargers 0 On a perfect football afternoon at Muir High School in Pasadena, the La Cañada Gladiators squared off against the Charter Oak Chargers in the quarter final playoffs. Although tentative in the first half, the Gladiators nevertheless dominated the entire game. Quarterback Kyle Cheung had an outstanding afternoon. Cheung was 3-4 on the day and two of his passes were completed for touchdowns. In addition, Cheung had a 56-yard touchdown scramble.
