A dog surfing in the ocean is not something you see everyday. This month you can visit Penelope?s, at 1029 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada, to enjoy Ann Taylor?s photographs of swimming dogs. ?I?m very passionate about dogs,? said Taylor. ?I?ve always loved animals, but mainly dogs. I just enjoy going out and photographing them.? The photographs in the restaurant?s gallery are grouped into sections by event. The dogs participate in activities from surfing to swimming and jumping.

Ten Years Ago The La Cañada school board learned that a survey of voters living within the boundaries of the La Cañada Unified School District showed that 73% of them would support a bond measure for facility upgrades on the local campuses. The consulting firm that conducted the survey recommended holding the bond election in March 2004 instead of holding it in November 2003, when it would be competing for attention with the special California gubernatorial recall election.
