A missing 19-year-old woman was found Friday morning in Eaton Canyon and airlifted to safety via helicopter, KTLA reports.
Bora Kim, a Pasadena City College student, was found by an L.A. County sheriff’s search-and-rescue team, Robert Diaz of the Los Angeles County Fire Department told KTLA. A county fire helicopter was summoned at 6:53 a.m., Diaz said.
KTLA's Sky5 video showed the helicopter hovering over Eaton Canyon, where rescue officials on foot had made their way to Kim’s location.
A member of the helicopter team was lowered by cable to where the teen was stranded, then both were hoisted to the aircraft.
The helicopter flew to Huntington Memorial in Pasadena, where Kim was seen walking unassisted after disembarking.
She had been missing since about 8 a.m. Thursday, when her mother dropped her off at a bus stop en route to Pasadena City College, according to a statement issued by the Arcadia Police Department.
