Philibosian filed her papers last week and is the last candidate to join the race. She said two of her nieces attended Pasadena City College and had “fabulous experiences.” Now, she said, she wants to give back to the school.
One of her goals, if elected, would be to increase community outreach within the district and initiate joint board meetings with the La Cañada Unified School District, she said.
“I would love to reach out to the La Cañada area,” she said.
Philibosian is active in the Pasadena community and serves on the board of the Pasadena Center Operating Company. She has served on the boards of the Pasadena Playhouse, Arroyo Seco Foundation and Caltech Children’s Center.
Keledjian, a student at Pasadena City College, announced his campaign in March. Keledjian previously served as the student representative on the La Cañada Unified School District board and president of the La Cañada High School Republican Club. He lives in La Cañada.
Selvidge, a real estate economist who served on the Rose Bowl Operating Co. board, announced in May that he was running. He is a Pasadena resident.
