Several La Cañada Flintridge congregations gathered on June 11 for an annual interfaith service to celebrate recent graduates.

More than 120 graduates from local high schools and 300 guests attended the service at St. Bede the Venerable Roman Catholic Church. Seniors affiliated with La Cañada Presbyterian Church, the Lutheran Church in the Foothills, the Church of Jesus Chris of Latter-day Saints and the Islamic Congregation of La Cañada Flintridge participated in the ceremony.

Ian McFeat, principal of La Cañada High School, gave remarks after Father Gregory Dongkore opened the event with a prayer.

Five high school seniors — Matt Jones, Eliza Bentz, Katharine Henry, Rebecca Kahn and Johnny Louk — spoke about how religion has shaped their lives.

The La Cañada High School Chamber Singers and Concert Choir and the La Cañada Presbyterian Church Praise Band offered musical entertainment.
