Congratulations LCF Tournament of Roses volunteer float workers! That adorable dino soared down Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena with the “Animation Trophy” tucked under his front leg.
Oh, by the way — Happy New Year again. Everybody has his or her thinking caps on deciding what our next year’s float design should be. So think on folks, we want to earn another award next year.
And, just before “Dino-Soar” rolled down the boulevard, the La Cañada Flintridge Tournament of Roses Assn. held a special “Under the Bridge” party to honor the association’s past presidents and all donors who have supported the float year after year.
In spite of the near record-breaking low temperatures, a large crowd gathered in a warm tent to nosh on fab hors d’oeuvres and sip champagne and wine.
This year, the event was presented by a committee that included Peggy Hotaling (chair), Sue Beatty, Corkie MacPherson, Mary Gant, Bob Wallace, Claire Slaughter, Pat Hutchins and Sherrill Carbonetti.
