April 06, 2012

Three men were arrested in La Crescenta Thursday after attempting three separate robberies of Crescenta Valley High School teens, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

After school Thursday three Crescenta High students, 17, 17, and 15 years old, respectively, were accosted blocks from the school by three men, one of whom appeared to have a gun. One incident occurred near the corner of Foothill Boulevard and Glenwood Avenue, and the others happened on Ramsdell Avenue, according to the sheriff’s department.

In each case the victims were threatened and ordered to give up their cell phones and valuables, and in one case a teen was slapped and kicked by the assailants before a witness forced the suspects to flee.
