Sydney Estrada had three hits and Erin Golden had two for the Tigers (3-4, 3-1).
Crescenta Valley 3, Pasadena 2: The Bulldogs put up quite a fight, but succumbed in their Pacific League opener on the road Friday, Falcons hurler Elliot Surrey, bound for UC Irvine, struck out 11 and allowed two hits.
"I think you take away a lot of positives," Bulldogs Coach Mike Parisi said. "I thought we played great, I thought we competed. We just came up short.
"If they do that every single time, we'll win a lot of games."
Those two hits were back-to-back doubles in the fourth from Alex Baer and Brandon Carrillo, which scored Andrew Phillips, who walked, and Baer to tie the game at 2.
"We got a few clutch hits to tie it," Parisi said.
But Pasadena (3-4) allowed a run in the fifth to fall. Starter Patrick Saucedo was tagged with the loss after five innings in which he allowed eight hits.
La Cañada 173, Crescenta Valley 204: The Spartans turned in a dominant performance to improve to 8-1 in Thursday's nonleague match at the par-34 La Cañada Country Club.
Collin Morikawa and Noah Bernstein shared top honors with one-under-par 33s, while teammate Josh Suh shot a 34 and Andrew Park notched a 36.
San Marino 195, South Pasadena 215: San Marino's Jack Shelton carded a one-under-par 36 and teammate Alan Hong shot a 36 on Thursday afternoon to lead the Titans to a Rio Hondo League victory at Santa Anita Golf Course.
Ben Allen carded a 37 for San Marino (5-3, 1-0 in league). South Pasadena (1-1 in league) received a 36 from Harry Yadav.
Pasadena Poly 199, Flintridge Prep 218, Webb 226: Freshman Manny Medrano shot a par-35 as the Panthers (7-1, 4-0) won Thursday's Prep League tri-meet at Altadena Golf Course.
David Hong shot a 37, while Willie Moffly carded a 39 and girls' standout Victoria Morgan shot a 40.
The Rebels went 1-1 in Thursday's Prep League tri-meet at the par-35 Altadena Golf Course.
Jack Bouchard led the Rebels with a 36, while Josh Kim had a 42, Richard Lo a 45 and Chris Wirthlin a 47.
