Muir 73, Glendale 65: Senior Andre Frazier led the Mustangs with 17 points and 12 rebounds as Muir clinched a share of the Pacific League title after the home victory Friday evening coupled with Pasadena's 61-60 loss to Crescenta Valley.

"I don't know the last time this program won a league title," Muir Coach Gamal Smalley said. "This has been a special season for us and we still have some work to do."


Jelani Mitchell added 17 points and the duo of Dion Nelson and Tevin Polk both scored 13 points apiece for the Mustangs (23-1, 12-0 in league), who received eight rebounds off the bench from Brian Carrier.

Flintridge Prep 78, Chadwick 58: Chadd Cosse finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds Friday to help the visiting Rebels win their fifth straight Prep League championship and 10th in the last 11 seasons.

Jedrick Eugenio added 16 points for the Rebels, who improved to 16-7, 7-0.

"It's great to have a program that's been a model of consistency," said Flintridge Prep Coach Garrett Ohara, who got 15 points, six assists and five steals from Robert Cartwright and 14 points from Kory Hamane.

St. Francis 70, Sherman Oaks Notre Dame 60: Emerson Castaneda led the Golden Knights to a Mission League home win on Friday night. St. Francis (10-14, 3-7) also got 15 points from Zack Gardea, 13 points from Tei Vanderford and 12 from Justin Trout.

Maranatha 63, Los Angeles Baptist 53: Junior guard Jeremy Major scored a game-high 28 points to lead the Minutemen to an Olympic League home victory on Friday night.

With the win, Maranatha (18-5, 5-1) travels to Village Christian on Tuesday evening with a chance to split a league championship.


Poly 57, Mayfield 23: Michelle Miller scored a game-high 27 points and added 15 rebounds and three blocks, while Kiki Yang totaled 19 points, nine steals and six assists for the Panthers (18-4, 9-0) in Prep League play Friday afternoon.

Carrie Morris led the Cubs (12-6, 5-4) with 12 points.

Muir 63, Glendale 36: Tahniya Sweatt tallied a game-high 18 points and six steals, as the duo of Shaela Flynn and Emoni Jackson (12 rebounds) added 17 points each for the Mustangs in a Pacific League home victory Friday afternoon.

Brandi Dubose added 17 rebounds for Muir (23-3, 12-0), which clinched the league championship.

Crescenta Valley 61, Pasadena 50: The Bulldogs (12-12, 5-7) dropped their second straight Pacific League game on Friday afternoon.

Nyree Joukadarian scored 15 points for Pasadena and Megan Rutherford added 10 points.
