Memory master to speak at club's tea

January 18, 2012

The La Cañada Thursday Club’s Community Relations Committee presents Hermine Hilton, America’s Memory Motivator, during the Forget-Me-Not program and tea, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, at the clubhouse, 4440 Woodleigh Lane.

Hilton is the author of several books on the subject of memory.

“The biggest problem anyone has with memory,” she says, “is thinking they have a problem. None of us are born with built-in instructions on how to program the greatest computer of all — that one attached to our necks. But if you learn how your memory works, then you can learn how to work your memory.”

Barbara Self and Sue Tutt, Community Relations Committee co-chairs, and Club Vice-President Gale Caswell encourage men and women in the community to take advantage of this opportunity to learn how to better “work” our memories.
