"It's way better than sitting on Santa's lap," she adds.

Plenty of photos with Santa Claus were taken at the La Cañada Sport Chalet on a recent Saturday. There wasn't any lap-sitting, though.

Rather than the traditional Santa-and-child pose, people got the chance at photos with a soggy, scuba Santa at the bottom of the local Sport Chalet's heated pool.

The promotional event was organized for anyone interested in diving into scuba gear. Sport Chalet provided the scuba gear and photo free of charge. There wasn't even a need for a scuba certification. The only requirement was for all divers to be at least 10-years old.

Sport Chalets across California equipped with pools held the same event.
