Assembly candidate to address local Republicans
Alvaro Day, the Republican candidate for the 44th Assembly District, will be the principal speaker at the monthly general meeting of the La Cañada Flintridge Republican Committee on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at the La Cañada Flintridge Country Club. Day is opposing incumbent Democrat Anthony Portantino.
Day was born in Lima, Peru and came to the United States when he was 11. After graduating from Temple City High and completing his general education courses at Pasadena City College, Alvaro earned a bachelor's degree in political science and history at UCLA.
