Teen training program—Tuesdays and Thursdays. Verdugo Hills Hospital's Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation will be offering teen training classes for boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 18 to help teens increase their core strength, improve their agility and flexibility, and to decrease vulnerability to sports injuries. The classes will be held at the hospital on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. for 11- to 14-year-olds, and from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. for 14- to 18-year-olds. The first class is free and teens can attend as often as they want. A free optional screening will be held on Tuesday, July 6 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. VHH is located at 1812 Verdugo Boulevard in Glendale, 91208. Cookin Kids Culinary Camp—Six weeks, beginning July 12. Campers are divided into two groups, ages 7-11 and ages 12-16. Classes will be held at La Cañada High School, 4463 Oak Grove Drive.
