Teachers, staff feted by 7/8 PTA

In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, the La Cañada High School 7/8 PTA hosted a Cinco de Mayo-themed luncheon for nearly 70 of the middle school’s teachers and staff members. The luncheon featured food from Los Gringos Locos with dessert from Cakery Bakery.

Spring luncheon co-chairs Jillian Cycon and Anne Decker organized a team of volunteer parents who decorated the teacher’s lounge, donated supplies, and helped serve and clean-up. “It’s so nice to be able to do something to let the teachers and staff know how much we appreciate all their hard work,” Decker said. “So everyone is happy to help out and contribute to making this luncheon special.”

The La Cañada business community also supported the event with an elaborate floral arrangement donated by Eiji’s and plant centerpieces donated by Trader Joe’s, which were both raffled off to the lunch guests. Coffee service was provided by Starbucks.
