The guards called the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station and Badashian was booked later that night.
“He was caught with hubcaps from a Toyota and a Volkswagen,” said Det. Rodger Burt of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station. “It was later determined the hubcaps were taken from other vehicles on that lot.”
Badashian was a parolee and is being held without bail at Twin Towers Correction Facility.
Angeles Crest Highway to reopen on Monday
Angeles Crest Highway (2), above La Cañada Flintridge, which has been closed since Aug. 26 due to the Station fire, will reopen at 5 a.m. on Monday, according to Los Angeles County Public Works officials.
Public works and Caltrans have completed much of the extensive repairs needed in the wake of the fire, according to a statement released this week, but motorists should anticipate additional delays due to road improvements.
