In the second quarter, after a Rams’ score, Heberger hit John Lytle for a quick pass to start another Gladiator drive, and Tomas McConnell ran down the right side for the Gladiators’ second score. On defense, Sharman held his ground and forced the play back inside and pulled two flags in a row.

The second half was another hard fought half and the Gladiators made some good defensive adjustments holding the Rams scoreless in the half. Shin and Heberger both narrowly missed interceptions, and McConnell, Andrew Sharman, Caden Smith and Max Nelson all made drive-stopping plays. It was the first tight game for Gladiators in a while and the team showed their toughness and found a way get in the end zone two more times and keep the Rams out.
