Y-Tribes Guides & Princesses New Member Night — Monday, Sept. 28, 7 to 8 p.m. The Y-Tribes program at the Crescenta-Cañada and Verdugo Hills Family YMCAs provide quality time for busy dads and their children while participating in enjoyable and constructive activities. Dads and their kindergarten through fourth-grade sons or daughters will enjoy Snow Camp, skate night, Friday Night Flick with In & Out, the Pinewood Derby and more. Kidspace Pumpkin Festival — Oct. 3-4, 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. both days. Kidspace Children’s Museum is preparing to host its 15th Annual Pumpkin Festival. The family-friendly carnival will take place at Brookside Park in Pasadena. The festival will feature live musical performances, face painting, train rides, a petting zoo, and carnival games. YMCA Teen Leadership Program — Thursdays, Oct. 1-May 20. Women in Training is offered by the Crescenta-Cañada Family YMCA. It provides a safe environment for young women to discuss prevalent issues faced by girls today and embrace who they are so they might lead other women on the path of self-discovery. There are three sessions. The first session runs through Nov. 19 and explores the characteristics that make a leader. Jump Rope Class — Wednesdays in October, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Hosted by Foothill Force Jump Rope Team for all girls and boys in second through 12th grade, and adults of any age. FIS Gym, 4490 Cornishon Ave., La Cañada. Cost: $40 for four-class session.
