Red Sox 10, Angels 3 The Sox continued their recent trend of putting big numbers up late in beating the Angels 10-3. Angel pitcher Chris Parker held the Sox to one hit through three innings. Clayton Weirick was almost as good, holding the Angels to one run over the first three innings. The Angels threatened to put real distance between the teams in the top of the fourth when they started with a single, two walks and a single off David Bywater. However, Bywater stayed tough and put down the next three batters to keep the damage to a manageable two runs in the inning. The Sox exploded in the fifth. Jacob Brown started with a walk. Bywater singled. Greg Lupica and Griffin Van Amringe singled, which led to three runs. Shane Bell executed a perfect sacrifice bunt. Austin Gartside singled to bring home VanAmringe with the fourth run. Cole Herzer smashed a single to bring home Gartside. Johnny Selsor and Clayton Weirick followed with singles to bring home Herzer. The Sox put the game away with four in the bottom of the sixth. Bywater, Lupica and VanAmringe set the table. Gartside, Herzer and Selsor hit consecutive singles to bring in the runs. Ryan Archer made the defensive play of the game when he caught a sinking liner in right.

Dodgers 19, Angels 3 The Dodgers heralded the return of Trent Bauer with a 19-3 masterpiece victory over the Angels. Bauer, who had been out since the 3rd game of the season with a broken ankle, crushed a double in his first at bat and added two more hits to pace the Dodgers. Richie Colburn homered, Hunter Dorr and Patrick Gilligan tripled, and Evan Valencia added a key double as well. The Angels stormed to a 3-0 lead only to see the Dodgers reel off 19 consecutive runs over the next five innings to win easily.
