Glendale (2) Freeway at Stancrest Drive in Glendale, a 26-year-old driver traveling northbound on the 2 freeway apparently fell asleep, veered off the road and struck two light poles. One of the poles fell into traffic lanes, the driver did not report any injuries at 7:10 a.m. on Monday.

Pine Cone Road and Starfall Drive, Simon Sheen, 20, of La Crescenta was arrested on suspicion of possession of a narcotic, for offering to give away that narcotic [to friends] and for being in possession of a credit card not in his name without the owner’s authorization. Deputies found Sheen parked in his vehicle with two passengers at the location at 11:30 p.m. on Monday.

Corona Drive in La Cañada, deputies responded to a residential alarm and found gates to the backyard of the home open and a window broken. Nothing appeared to be stolen in the 300 block between 12:30 p.m. and 12:56 p.m. on Friday.

Cross Avenue in La Cañada, a camera, two camera lenses and a folding tool were stolen from a locked vehicle in the 2200 block overnight, April 15-16.

Castle Road in La Cañada, the driver’s side window was smashed and an iPod Touch was stolen from a vehicle in the 5100 block overnight, April 15-16.

San Gorgonio Road in La Cañada, an iPod Nano was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 2200 block overnight, April 15-16.

San Gorgonio Road in La Cañada, a purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 2200 block overnight, April 15-16.

Woodleigh Lane in La Cañada, Jeronimo Lopez, 23, of La Puente and Brandi Patterson, 29, of Alhambra were arrested on suspicion of possession of a narcotic and for being in possession of stolen property/U.S. mail theft. Deputies stopped the suspects as they were driving without headlights, and discovered 45 pieces of stolen mail in their vehicle. The suspects told the deputy they did not know where the mail came from in the 4300 block at 2 a.m. on April 16.

Hampstead Road in La Cañada, a television was stolen from a residence in the 3600 block between 10 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on April 15.

Chevy Chase Drive and Figueroa Street in La Cañada, Cristo Zapata, 33, of Los Angeles was arrested on three outstanding warrants, driving without a valid California driver’s license and being in possession of a false identification card at 10:30 a.m. on April 14.

Altura and La Crescenta avenues in La Crescenta, a driver reported that as he was at the intersection another driver pulled up next to him, gestured and yelled obscenities to him then the suspect got out of his vehicle and punched the left side of the victim’s car at 1:30 a.m. on April 14.

Harmony Place in La Crescenta, a cellphone and purse were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 2500 block overnight, April 13-14.

Pineridge Drive in La Crescenta, a global positioning system was stolen from a locked vehicle in the 5400 block overnight, April 9-10.

Franklin Avenue in La Crescenta, a global positioning system was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 2900 block overnight, March 29-30.
