Altura Avenue in La Crescenta, the passenger side window was smashed and a DVD player, speakers and an iPod were stolen from a vehicle in the 3100 block overnight Aug.30-31.

Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a suspect described as an 18-year-old black man wearing a black T-shirt, black baggy shorts and black shoes entered the Le Petite Vendome store and asked an employee if there was candy for sale. The employee said yes, and the suspect began searching his pockets, as if for money. He then turned and walked toward the front door, grabbed a bottle of rum and ran out of the store; 900 block at 1 p.m. on Saturday.

Ramsdell Avenue in La Crescenta, the front driver’s side window was smashed and stereo equipment and an iPod were stolen from a vehicle in the 4900 block overnight, Aug. 28-29.

Walton Oaks Lane in La Crescenta, tools were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 4100 block sometime between Aug. 16 and Aug. 28.

Mira Vista Avenue in Montrose, someone broke the door off a mailbox at the apartment complex in the 2300 block between Aug. 21 and Aug. 28.

Rincon Avenue in Montrose, a cellphone, earpiece and charger were stolen from an unlocked vehicle; 4100 block overnight on Aug. 25-26.

Del Mar Road in Montrose, a cellphone, earpiece, clothing and DVDs were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 2200 block between 1:30 a.m. and 8:15 a.m. on Aug. 26.

La Crescenta Avenue in La Crescenta, a glass sliding door was damaged and a television, jewelry and computer were stolen and rooms ransacked; 5200 block between 8:30 a.m. and 7:20 p.m. on Aug. 25.

La Porte Drive in La Cañada, a global position system and iPod were stolen from a locked vehicle in the 800 block overnight, Aug. 22-23.

Foothill Boulevard in La Cañada, a purse and tote bag were stolen and the rear passenger side window was smashed in a vehicle parked in the Panda Express parking lot in the 700 block between 6:25 p.m. and 6:35 p.m. on Aug. 24.
