California Youth Ballet Presents Snow Queen Dec. 21-23. Show times are 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 21 and 22 and matinee performances at 2 p.m. on Dec. 22 and Dec. 23. Veterans perform their last show before going pro, international guest performer and special effects highlight this year’s show.

This year’s production marks the 10th annual presentation of a great holiday fairy tale. For three days, Friday through Sunday, Dec. 21 -23, Snow Queen is performed at the Glendale Community College’s theater, 1500 N. Verdugo Road. Advance tickets are $22 for adults and $16 for students and $24 for adults and $18 for students at the door. For tickets or information, call (818) 790-7924.

A Christmas Story Dec. 22 at 10 a.m. The Playhouse District Association is presenting the free movie screening of “A Christmas Story,” at the Laemmles Playhouse 7 theaters in Pasadena. Limited seating is available and is open to the public.

Everyone is encouraged to sing along to the holiday classics. Free special holiday treats will be available to all who attend the festive event.

An all-American holiday classic, the 1982 “A Christmas Story” is the tale of 9-year old mischievous Ralphie who longs for his ideal Christmas gift, an Air Rifle that comes equipped with a compass. Mom, Dad, and even Santa tell Ralphie, “No you’ll shoot your eye out.” You’ll get drawn in with Ralphie’s day-to-day journey on his quest to get his Christmas gift. The Christmas Story draws us back to our childhood, the spirit of Christmas, and the relationships and dealings of an American Family.

‘The Best Christmas Pageant Ever’ and ‘A Christmas Carol’ Through Dec. 23. The Knightsbridge Theatre and the National American Shakespeare Company KIDS present two holiday classics, “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” from the award winning novel by Barbara Robinson and adapted by Kelly Boczek and Charles Dickens classic “A Christmas Carol” a adapted by Raymond Donhey.
