Glendale Community Theatre — Monday and Tuesday from 7 to 10 p.m. The auditions for the production of “Tartuffe: Born Again,” translated and adapted from Moliere’s original by Freyda Thomas, will be held in the auditorium from 7 to 10 p.m. Sign-up is in the auditorium Lobby. Auditions will be by cold readings from the script with call backs on Sept. 12. “Tartuffe: Born Again” will open Nov. 8 and run for two weekends with guest director Laurie Woolery of the Cornerstone Theatre Co. The Lanterman Picnic — Sept. 16, 4 p.m. A 90-year tradition started by the Lanterman family. Held at the Lanterman House gardens, there will be tri-tip, chicken and all the fixings, cool drinks and live music. Reservations are $30 for adults and $20 for children under 12.
