The following crime reports for La Cañada Flintridge, La Crescenta and Montrose were taken by the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station.

Friday, July 27

1100 block Green Ave., LCF, someone etched initials onto the hood of a vehicle parked in front of a man's residence.

1535 Foothill Blvd., LCF, a La Crescenta woman was arrested on suspicion of trying to cash a fictitious check at the La Cañada Liquors.

Wednesday, July 25

2500 block of Janet Lee Dr., LCR, someone scratched the hood of a vehicle damaging the paint.

Monday, July 23

4800 block of Commonwealth Ave., LCF, someone stole several tools from a metal storage container at the location that was under construction.

5500 block of Pineglen Rd, LCR, someone entered a residence and stole a laptop computer and tablet pc.

Florencita Ave., Montrose, a woman reported that someone opened a bank account in her name and made at least two purchases without her permission. Earlier, in May, the woman had her vehicle stolen along with her purse and identification. It was her stolen California driver's license that was used to open the account.

1500 block of Earlmont Ave., LCF, someone used a victim's MasterCard to make purchases without permission.

Sunday, July 22

1800 Foothill Blvd., LCF, someone smashed the front passenger window of a vehicle and stole a purse.

1500 block of Descanso Dr., LCF, someone smashed the rear window of a vehicle and broke the driver's side mirror with a large rock.

Saturday, July 21

5300 Ivafern Lane, LCF, someone used a Visa credit card to charge items without the cardholder's permission.

4800 block of Commonwealth Ave., LCF, someone stole construction equipment from a location overnight.

Friday, July 20

4800 block of Briggs Ave., LCR, someone stole a 32-foot extension ladder that was tied onto a truck while it was parked in front of a residence.
