St. Francis High School's varsity drum line will participate in a community service event to help raise funds for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) on Sunday, Oct. 22, at Dodger Stadium.
The walk will literally start off with a bang, as the St. Francis Drum Line will signal the ceremonial kick-off, which begins at 10 a.m. The group will play again at the conclusion of the walk. If you've never experienced drum line rhythms, you don't know what you've been missing. The group is made up of 20 students, all from diverse backgrounds, but with one common thread — they all love rudimental drumming.
JDRF's walks are family-friendly, and feature entertainment, food and fun. St. Francis High School invites you to become one of the people who are making a difference in the lives of children with Type 1 diabetes. You'll have a great time, get some exercise and, most importantly, with your help, the foundation will move even closer to its goal: a cure for diabetes and its complications.
