The 4-year-old "Busy Bears" — as the 4-year-old preschoolers are called at Crescenta-Canada Cooperative Nursery School — had a Bear Picnic at Montrose Park on Friday, Sept. 29 to commence their "Bear" unit.
Bear rhymes, bear hunt, bear book reading, bears on parachute and a delicious Busy Bear-planned picnic menu was the agenda for the day. Parents and children met in the morning on the park grounds with their binoculars and teddy bears on hand, excited that the day had finally come. Parents enjoying the site of their own "Busy Bear" were also very busy following along and clicking their cameras to capture those precious moments.
The preschool, on the grounds of the Lutheran Church in the Foothills, at 1700 Foothill Blvd. in La Cañada, offers a Monday-Wednesday-Friday program for 4 to 5 years olds, and a Tuesday-Thursday program for kids 2 years, 9 months to 3 years old.
