News from Phillips Exeter Academy

Melissa A. Chow, the daughter of Drs. Marvin and Julia Chow of La Cañada CA, graduated with high honors, and was one of 310 member of the class of 2006 who received a diploma at the 225th commencement exercises at Phillips Exeter Academy on June 11.

She was a three-year student at the coeducational, independent secondary school in Exeter, NH.

Samantha A. Silliman, La Cañada Flintridge, a twelfth-grader at Phillips Exeter Academy, earned honors for spring term. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Drake P. Silliman, she is in her fourth year ar the school.

Phillips Exeter Academy is a coeducational, preparatory school that was founded in 1781 and originated the system of instruction known as Harkness teaching in 1931.

In the spirit of its charter to foster both goodness and knowledge, students come from a wide variety of geographic, economic, racial and religious backgrounds. The diverse student body comes from approximately 46 states, the District of Colombia, Puerto Rico and 25 foreign countries.
