Prep Boys' Cagers Score 52-37 Victory Over Rio Hondo Prep

After going up 15-6 in the first quarter of its Prep League game against host Arcadia Rio Hondo Prep last Friday, the Flintridge Prep boys' varsity basketball team sailed to a 52-37 victory.

The Rebels upped their overall mark to 9-12 and their league record to 5-1. They will host Pasadena Poly tomorrow (Friday) at 7:30 p.m. and Claremont Webb School next Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in league contests in the gym.

Prep further opened its comfortable advantage over Rio Hondo in the second quarter and led 32-20 at the half. The Rebels upped their lead to 44-26 after three quarters.

Andrew Beck topped all scorers with 13 points, including one 3-point basket. Aaron Fried came next with eight points, including two 3-pointers. Phillip West was right behind with seven points, including one 3-pointer.

Brady Thomson and Mark Rodli pumped in six points each, Daniel Hurley added five points, Matt Adesuyan chipped in three points, Brendan Brown finished with two points and Dylan Walker and Ryan Lamont had one point each.
