CLASSES

Beginning Bridge Class -- Tues. Jan. 10, 7:30 p.m., and Sat. Jan. 14, 10 :30 a.m. The Bridge Center in Arcadia will offer two free beginning Bridge classes. The first six lessons are free. These classes are for absolute beginners, no experience necessary. Teenagers must be at least twelve years old. Bridge is a great way to keep your mind sharp. Everyone is welcome to attend. New Look at Andy Warhol -- Tues., Jan. 10, 7 p.m. UCLA Extension offers Andy Warhol and Pop Art: Voyeurism, Vision and the Image in Contemporary American Culture. A new course that examines Warhol's impact. Explore the mystery of Andrew Warhol and learn how a painfully shy and homely child from an immigrant family in Pittsburgh went on to conquer New York City and become the center of cool. Andy Warhol and Pop Art: Voyeurism, Vision and the Image in Contemporary American Culture meets Tuesdays, 7-10 p.m., Jan. 10-March 21, on the UCLA campus. Contemporary Films and Filmmakers -- Mon. 7p.m. Jan. 23. Sneak Preview combines screenings of Hollywood's most talked-about films before their release and insightful discussions with the actors and filmmakers behind the films. Recent films and speakers have included "Memoirs of a Geisha" with writer Robin Swicord; "The Family Stone" with director Tom Bezucha and actor Diane Keaton. This winter, Sneak Preview is led by writer-producer Pete Hammond, a frequent contributor to Variety and contributing editor to Leonard Maltin's "Movie and Video Guide." Sneak Preview is offered Mondays, 7-10 p.m., Jan. 23-March 27, at the Writers Guild Theatre, 135 S. Doheny Drive, Beverly Hills. Fee: $160 (noncredit), $260 (credit).
